Who am I?

My name is  Linda Baker - originally from the South West coast of Ireland, I am an experienced health care practitioner of many years. Initially as a specialist Intensive Care nurse, then Midwife, I went on to study homeopathy for 4 years at the Wellington College of Homeopathy in NZ to complement my midwifery, medical and mind/body skills. I enjoy a general homeopathic practice on Bealey Ave in Christchurch and have a particular interest in childbearing, families and animals. I also use other intuitive, energetic methods of healing to complement my homeopathic prescriptions (clairaudience, clairvoyancy, clairsentinence, hands on healing and chakra balancing).

My intention as a homeopath and healer is to facilitate people's understanding of their dis-ease in order that they may become their own healers -  to find their own answers - to be free of the limitations that prevent them from living full, happy and healthy lives. This involves education on every level from biology to nutrition to spiritual.

Below are some of the reasons that people seek my services...
  • They are pregnant or trying to get pregnant and want to address what that brings up for them.
  • They are new parents and have sick babies or are sick themselves and are fed up of the side effects of harsh antibiotics and pharmaceutical drugs in their bodies.
  • They have chronic, complicated health issues and have been abandoned by their usual health practitioner as incurable or beyond help.
  • They are dissatisfied by the lack of time and attention offered to them by their usual health provider to alleviate annoying ‘minor’ symptoms like hay fever or menstrual pain or joint pains etc.
  • They have no energy and want their ‘bounce’ back - they have lost their love of life and want to feel connected again.
  • Animal behavior issues or injuries.
  • Or its indescribable - they’re just not feeling 100% but can’t quite put their finger on what that is (so they have no real symptoms that can be investigated by their GP with).
Health to me is about balance and vitality on every level so I have the freedom to be my best…homeopathy makes that a reality for my family and I and my intention is to enable all my patients to have the same understanding of health and wellness, balance and contentment.

I live with my husband, children and dogs in the lovely harbour town of Lyttelton on the Banks Peninsula.
